Growing up in Ohio, Weiss began drawing at an early age. His initial art instructor and mentor, Louis Penfield, inspired him to sketch and paint from lifestyle. They made artwork and also manufactured a studio adjacent to Penfield’s property, which experienced been developed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
